Requesting Home Visits

We believe that most problems are better dealt with at the surgery if possible. However, we are happy to see patients if they are too ill or infirm to visit the surgery.

Ideally requests should be made for home visits by 10.30. Once the GPs have left to do their home visits the only GP left to do later visits is the GP who is on-call for emergencies. Obviously this one GP may get very busy and if your problem isn’t urgent then the visit may be postponed to another day.
Please give the receptionist some idea of your symptoms to help the Doctor plan his visits. Emergencies will always be dealt with immediately.
