Making Appointments

All patients are seen by appointment and these can be made by telephoning, or calling at, the surgery. Alternatively, appointments can be made online – see ‘Online Services’ for further information about this.

Appointments can be made  up to 2-4 weeks in advance if appointments are still available.

If you find you are unable to book ahead, we offer the facility of speaking to one of our triage nurses instead. The triage nurses work alongside the doctors and are trained to assess your problem and offer advice or an appointment as appropriate. Please be reassured that you can always speak with the triage nurse if you are experiencing some troubling symptoms that you do not feel can wait to be seen in the routine appointments available.

Evening surgeries (6.30-7.30pm) are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. They are primarily aimed at patients who are working or cannot get to the surgery during normal hours. Please ask the receptionist regarding the availability of an evening appointment if you are not able to come during the working day. The evening surgeries are only bookable in advance and emergency calls after 6.30pm are still dealt with by Bay Urgent Care. Please only contact the surgery if your call is about a routine query and contact Bay Urgent Care if you need emergency advice or an appointment (on 111).
